Most relationships begin through shared experiences or collaboration, and that kind of connection is hard to build if people don’t know who you are.
So I thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself.
My name is Martin, and my journey in the glazing and interiors industry spans over two decades. It’s a path shaped by a passion for design, a hands-on understanding of the craft, and a drive to do things differently. Like most business journeys, mine has involved plenty of challenges, but also continuous growth and a clear commitment to deliver bespoke, high-quality solutions with integrity and innovation at the core.
This is a little bit about how I’ve arrived where I am today – but more importantly, it’s about who I am and what I stand for.
With 24 years of experience in the glazing and specialist interiors industry, my journey has been one of continuous learning, hands-on experience, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of design and technology. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working across every aspect of the industry, from surveying and project management to design detailing and installation. These experiences have provided me with invaluable insights into both the challenges and the potential of the glazing & interiors sector.
I started my career back in 2000 with several well-established glazing firms. From the beginning, I was eager to learn everything I could about the trade. I worked across a range of projects, everything from technically demanding architectural glazing systems to creative bespoke solutions. It was during this time that I realised just how much room there was for improvement in the way the industry operated, particularly when it came to client relationships and project collaboration.
In 2009, I made the decision to take a step into self-employment. I started working as a freelance surveyor, installation manager, project lead, and draughtsman, and this period allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the inner workings of the industry from a variety of perspectives. I worked with a broad spectrum of clients, contractors, and designers, and it became clear to me that while many companies in the sector had a good understanding of the fundamentals, they often fell short when it came to communication, flexibility, and truly understanding the client’s vision and how to incorporate glazing into the overall build.
Over time, I began to notice a recurring issue: many glazing companies were simply too focused on their own processes, deadlines and KPIs to give their clients the attention they truly deserved. As a result, many projects ended up feeling rushed, impersonal, or compromised. I realised that there was a significant gap in the market for a company that could offer not only high-quality technical expertise but also the time and care needed to nurture long-term relationships with clients and bring their visions to life.
This recognition became the catalyst for the founding of ERAVISTA. Initially, the company started as Modus Project Design in 2015, offering subcontracted services, consultancy, and expert guidance to other glazing firms. But as the business grew, I realised that in order to truly make a difference in the industry, we needed to have control over the entire process – from design through to delivery. I wanted to create a business that not only produced exceptional solutions but also prioritised meaningful collaboration and genuine partnerships with our clients.
The decision to rebrand to ERAVISTA marked the start of a new chapter. We didn’t just want to deliver high-quality glazing & interiors; we wanted to make sure every client felt valued and understood. Over the years, I have worked hard to build a reputation for offering tailored, innovative solutions that meet the demands of contemporary architecture, all while providing the personal touch that many other individuals lacked.
At ERAVISTA, we believe that great design doesn’t just come from technical expertise; it comes from the relationships we build with our clients and the time we take to truly understand their needs. We are committed to delivering exceptional service at every stage of the project, ensuring that every detail is considered and every challenge is met with a solution.
Looking back, I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come, but I know there’s always more to learn and new challenges to overcome. Every project, every client, and every partnership continues to teach me something new, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue evolving while leading ERAVISTA forward with a clear focus on quality, innovation, and creating lasting impact through our work.
